Ruminations of Pilot the Pooch (7)
My human mum seems to be doing everything in the Taylor household these days. She does all the cooking, housework and home-schooling, as well as the working-from-home she’s always done – and I, for one, think it’s too much for her – especially when the kids play up. Don’t get me wrong, I love ’em to bits, but sometimes even I find they are a bit loud. Dad is out delivering most days, so he doesn’t know how naughty they can be. Me? I keep ever-so quiet all day, even though next door’s cat has taken to sitting on our fence smirking all over its stupid face … the cheek!
When they’ve gone to bed and Dad’s watching TV, Mum tries to catch up on her working-from-home, so I go to sit as close as possible, leaning against her leg – so she’ll know how much I, for one, love her and appreciate just how much she does for us.
